Donate your time to help with library voting.
The Friends of the Hyde Park Free Library are looking for volunteers who are residents of the library district to help run polls at the Library the evening of the Budget and Board of Trustees positions vote. Volunteers are needed for shifts on October 10th, 2019 between 2:00pm-5:30pm and 5:30pm-9:00pm. Please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.
Donate books to the book sale
Prior to each book sale the friends of the Hyde Park Free Library collect book donations. If you wish to donate books, donations can be placed in the bin available on the porch of the S. June Keyes Memorial Annex within three weeks of the scheduled sale.
Buy a raffle ticket
The Friends of the Hyde Park Free library are currently working with the Hyde Park Teachers Association to assemble 3 gift baskets valued at $500 each to be raffled off in late October. Tickets cost $1.00 per ticket or $5.00 for 6 tickets. Proceeds from the raffle will be split equally between the three libraries in the school district- Hyde Park, Staatsburg and Clinton.
Raffle tickets have been available at the Hyde Park Free Library this summer and will be available for purchase at a table for the schools' Meet the Teacher Nights.
Participating schools include Netherwood, North Park, Ralph R. Smith and Violet Avenue, FDR and Haviland Middle School. Tickets will continue to be available at the schools' main offices into October.
Meet the Teacher Night Sale dates are:
Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 for familes of high school students at FDR
Thursday, September 19th, 2019 for families of middle school students at Haviland Middle School
Monday, September 23rd, 2019 for families of 3rd - 5th grade students
Wednesday, September 25th, 2019 for Kindergarten - 2nd grade families.
